32 weeks!

Wow it's hard to believe were coming up on the 32 week mark already but it's here! I haven't posted anything in a long time so I have a lot to update on. We had our baby shower in WI and it was wonderful. We were so excited that so many people were able to come and celebrate with us. We had a great time and recived so many wonderul things for baby. We trully are thankfull!

We finally had the carpet installed in the nursery and things are starting to look more organized, which I couldn't be more happy about. Now chris just has to put the crib together which he plans on doing over christmas. Not my idea of spending a fun christmas, but I have to work anyway, so the dog and the cat will be assisting him!

Now as far as baby updates go, not much new. The last appt. I had they said that the baby is still breech and that she has not flipped yet. She still has time to do this so they don't seem too excited about it yet. They gave me some exercises to do to encourage her to move. Speaking of moving, she has been doing a ton of that lately. Her kicking and squirming is getting pretty impressive these days and she now keeps mommy and daddy awake with them at night. Chris says it's getting harder and harder to sleep next to me! ha ha I told him imagine what it feels like to me!

We are looking forward to spending the upcoming weekend in WI to celebrate christmas with family. We've decided this will be our last time traveling until baby comes, since I am getting huge and uncomfortable. I am still working, but I am not sure how long this will last. I am taking it day by day and I would love to be able to hold out until mid Jan. We will see what happens. Here are some new pictures, and some from our baby shower.

25 1/2 weeks!

Every day counts now hence the 1/2 week posting! Anyway just wanted to post a little since I had another drs appt. This was my gestational diabetes test and I passed!! I had to drink a very sweet gross drink that tasted like melted popsicles. Thank goodness it was only a small bottle! Dr says heart rate is good and everything with baby looks great!

Not much else is new except that my main focus these days is getting the nursery finished. As soon as we get carpet and furniture set I will be sure to post pics. I have been feeling good and baby is moving around all of the time. Chris can now feel baby kick him thru my belly if we are laying next to each other!! :) If I put my hand on my belly these days often she will kick back. We are looking forward to the holidays and visiting with family soon. I am hoping that the holdiays will make the rest of this pregnancy fly by!! ha ha Probably wishful thinking, but I can dream!

Shopping!

We are now at 23 weeks almost 24. Here is another belly pic, getting rounder by the day!! I am still fairly comfortable but am now starting to feel as if my stomach couldn't possibly stretch anymore. I also dread dropping anything on the floor at this point because I now there will be grunting and lots of noise effects to pick it up! Next thrusday I am having my glucose tolerance test and I'm a little scared that they're going to tell me I have gestational diabetes. I am also not looking forward to drinking a glass of uber sweet orange juice, yuck! Not much else new here except that I went on my first baby shopping spree and wanted to buy every cute pink thing I saw. Here are a few pics of the little outfits. All I can say is I really hope there not wrong about baby being a girl!!

It's a GIRL!!!

There have been lots of changes since my last post. We got engaged on our trip back to Michigan!! It was a huge surprise and Chris did such a wonderful job picking out the ring. I love and can't stop staring at it. Everyone wants to know when the date is, but we have so much going on we will be very slow to plan this.

The next big thing is that we had our 20 week ultrasound last week and found out we're having a girl!!! I was convinced that we were having a boy, so much for intuition. I am very happy it's a girl and am so excited to start shopping for adorable little pink items! Everything with the ultrasound looked great and our little girl was kicking and moving on the screen. It's so reassuring to see and feel her moving. Here are some pics of her. Little girl kept crossing her legs and rubbing her eyes. Here is also a pic of the crib bedding set I just bought. We are going with a jungle theme to match the hand painted murals on her walls.

2 more weeks!!!!

Yes that right only 2 more weeks until we find out if our little baby is a boy or a girl!!!! I am going nuts and cannot wait. We just spent a wonderful weekend in northern michigan with family and friends and I will have new pictures to post soon! The weather was warm and sunny and we got some wonderful presents for our little baby. Here is a new belly pic, This is just over 18 weeks. Still feeling great! :)

Another drs appointment

So had another routine prenatal visit today and everything looks great! :) I'm almost 15 weeks and no ultrasound until next visit, but I did get to hear the heartbeat again. Baby's heart beat is strong and around 150's. I guess the baby didn't like her pressing on my stomach because it kept moving away quickly from the doppler! We can't wait for our ultrasound in about 5 weeks. I'm on pins and needles to find out if its a boy or girl!!! Not much else new to report on. I'm really looking forward to my friend suzy baby shower soon and also for our visit home to Michigan.

14 weeks

I'm now at 14 weeks and still feeling great! I have another drs appt on friday, but no ultrasound for another month. We recently celebrated my 30th birthday which was great. Chris's parents came this weekend for quick visit. Thanks for the snuggle body pillow!!!! It's been the best nights sleep I've had in a long time! :) For anyone who is pregnant these things are great! Not much new to mention I have some new belly pics and a quick pic of the style and color of crib I've been thinking of.

Ok so my friend keeps bugging me to post pics up of my belly. I know your not really showing yet at 12 1/2 weeks, but I swear that I am, or maybe its just fat! ha ha Either way it's bigger so here are a couple of pics. I also have been feeling great, no nausea, more energized, and I feel like eating much healthier food! I've been getting in lots of fresh veggies from our garden for baby.

We are also going to have new carpet installed in baby's room soon so hoping to get someone in here within next couple of weeks to look at it. I'm thinking of going with a nice durable, stain resistant burbur, but still unsure yet. Anyway will be sure to post any new pics when I have them. :)

Another drs appointment

Ok so I'm around 11 weeks and just got back from my second drs appointment. I was hoping for another ultrasound, but they didn't think it was necessary. They said I wouldn't get another one until around 18 or 20 weeks. I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat, which was very reassuring. It was about 160 beats/min. which they seemed happy with. Everything else looked great and no more morning sickness, yay!!! Now I'm just hungry all of the time! I've already gained 5 pounds, yikes!! I guess it's all those carbs I've been craving.

Looking forward to having more energy in my second trimester and hopefully getting lots of healthy exercise in. Well thats it for now. I'll be sure to update with any new news. :)

10 weeks and feeling great!

Well I am now at the 10 week mark and looking forward to the end of the first trimester. I have been feeling a little more energized and my nasuea is pretty much gone. I was starting to think the sleepiness was never going to end!!

We have another doctors appointment at the end of this week and I have a feeling this will be a long one. We recently had to switch doctors because of insurance purposes so I am anticipating the full workup again. Fingers crossed that maybe I will get another ultrasound and get another peek at our little one. It so reassuring just to be able to see the little heart beat on a screen.

It's been really hard for me not to do any baby shopping and planning. I told myself that I would wait until at least aug. before we started doing any of that, but the planning/organizing nurse inside of me is desperate to get things rolling!! I am also desperate to know if it's a boy or a girl. Guess we will just have to wait till that 20 wk ultrasound for that one.

Well nothing else new until the end of this week. If I'm lucky enough to get more ultrasound pics I'll be sure to post them at the end of the week.

Ultrasound Pics!

We had our first ultrasound today. I'm 7 weeks and 3 days, by the us. They also gave me a due date of Feb. 15th give or take a couple days. You can't really see much, its very small about the size of a peanut! Anyway here are the pics. Also heartbeat was good 147. Now I don't have another appt. until the end of july. Enjoy the pics everyone!

1st posting!

Decided to start a blog for our family and friends since we're expecting. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and am excited to have my first doctors appointment on thursday. I'm hoping I will get to have an ultrasound, but not getting my hopes us since I have been told that it's not the standard. So far I've been feeling pretty good except a little nausea here and there. I seem to be drawn to potatoes and repulsed by the smell of meat. I find this very odd, but I guess it's normal. I also can't get enough sleep! No big surprise there, most of you are aware of my great sleeping talent! Here are few pics from our recent weekend trip to Grand Marais.
