Addy's first photo session

Here are the pics from addys first photo session. She was such a good baby throughout the whole thing. We thought for sure she would have a melt down and get fussy with all of the wardrobe changing. She just stared at everything and started to fall asleep! I think mommy and daddy were more wiped out by the end of it than she was.

Addy is still getting up twice throughout the night and having more awake time during the day. The only bad part about her getting up at night is that she doesn't want to go back to sleep. We have had several nights this week were she decided it was time to have a 2 hour play session at 3:30 in the morning. I don't mind it so much, but it will be a different story when I go back to work on midnights and chris will have to try to get her back to sleep. Other than the fact that she is growing bigger by the day, not much else new with her. We will be having her 2 month appt coming up soon and we are a little hesitant about it because thats vaccination time.

This weekend we are going back to WI to visit with family. We are excited to take lots of pics so watch for them soon. Here are all of her pics from her photo session.

Addys first trip to the mall!

Thats right Addy had her first trip to the mall of america and I think she liked it! We were a little hesitant thinking that she might have a mealtdown, but she did great. Her grandma and grandpa were there to visit with her too!

We got some shopping in and Addy was even good enough for us to have our first meal out post baby. She did have a miny mealtdown after a diaper change, but she quickly recovered.

I can't believe that I only have a few weeks left of maternity leave before I have to go back to work! Part of me is looking forward to get back into the swing of things, but part of me feels very sad and guilty for leaving Addy for any amount of time. Honestly I think Chris may have a harder time with her being at day care than me! We took her there for a visit this week and chris was very uneasy about it. Someone is going to be a very protective daddy! :)

We are looking forward to getting pictures taken soon. So keep your eyes peeled for those. We are also excited to go back to WI soon to visit with family over easter.

Almost 1 month old!

It's hard to believe that Addy will be a month old on Sunday! We are doing great and getting to know our little girl more and more each day. We are improving on staying asleep at night. So far she just has one period throughout the night that she wants to be up for 2 hours. I guess she just gets so rested up and then she decides it's time to play! Either way she is sleeping for up to 2-4 hrs at a time and we are happy to get that.

Since it has been so nice out this week we've gone on several walks. Addy just sleeps through these. I am looking forward to getting a baby jogger and start running soon! If anyone has any suggestions on baby joggers please let me know. I plan on doing some serious running to get back into shape so I'm looking for a really sturdy one. So far I'm leaning toward the the BOB ironman jogger. :)

I'm posting some random pics that weve taken over the past week. Addy is starting to be more alert so we are finally getting some more pics with her eyes open. Which by the way are still a blue grey color and we are eager to know what color they will turn! She is also getting really good at holding her head up. I think she will be able to sit in her bumbo without us holding up her head in no time!

Our first day on our own!

So chris went back to work today and we had our first full day on our own. Besides throwing up in her crib and all over my shoulder we had a good day. We are working on developing some sort of schedule. I have quickly learned to budget my time and multitask. My main goal these days is to be able to shower and get some house work done. If I can get those in I'm golden for the day.

We are still battling with breast feeding and doing the supplementing with formula. I just don't have much of a milk supply despite all of the herbal pills I'm taking. Either way she seems to be perfectly happy and gaining weight with what were doing right now.

Adeline's umbilical cord fell of so I'm hoping tonight will be her first real bath. Hopefully she will enjoy it more than the sponge baths she's been getting. We are also hoping to start some sort of bedtime routine for her.

I am posting some new pics of the wonderful quilt that chris's coworkers made for us. It's so nice and it has her name and birthday on it! There are also so pics of her exercise mat with her doing some tummy time. So far she doesn't mind it and she tolerates it for a couple of min.

Our first walk outside!

Today we had our first walk outside so I thought I would post some pics. Adeline seemed to like the walk and she soon fell asleep snuggled up next to daddy! It felt so good to be able to walk outside and not waddle. I think it had been about 4 months since I had been able to walk outside for any extended amount of time.

Tomorrow Adeline has another drs appt to recheck on her weight and then we have an appt with the lactation consultant. I think we are also going to try to swing by chris's work to let everyone see Adeline. It should be a busy day and hopefully she will be content with all of the appts.

I will be sure to post the stats on her doctors visit. Here are some more pics that I've taken throughout the week of our little one. As you can tell she spends most of her time sleeping. There is also a pic of the beautiful flowers chris's mom sent us.

1 week old!

What a week we've had! It's hard to believe that she's already a week old. Adeline is doing great and has already had two doctors appointments. Poor little girl wasn't getting enough fluids from breastfeeding so we have had to supplement with formula. I am still hopeful that I will be able to breastfeed but all that matters is that our little one is healthy! On a good note the dr said that there was no sign of jaundice and everything else looked great. We have another drs appt on friday for a weight recheck.

So far this week we have just been working on getting on some sort of schedule. Once we started formula adeline is sleeping pretty good and lets us get up to 2-4 hrs of sleep at a time during the night. When she does wake up she just wants food and usually goes right back to sleep. Brooke and butters are still adjusting to the new member of the family. Brooke has been a little depressed due to a crying baby and lack of constant attention, but otherwise adjusting well. Butters still cannot be trusted and we don't let her go near the baby, but what can be expected from a cat.

Not much new to report on. Here a a few more pics that we've taken this week.
