So I just wanted to get in writing some things about miss addy since she is almost 2 months and I haven't really been documenting it. Addy you are around 10 or 11 pounds, well accourding to our cheap nondigital scale. I swear you have been lifting your head since day 1! However now you hold it up for a substantial amount of time. You tolerate sitting in your bumbo chair for about 5 min at a time with a little head support help. You eat great and rarely spit up. You are taking around 4-5 oz about every 2-3 hrs. You get up about twice a night and let us get around 2-4hrs of sleep at a time! :)
You are now sleeping in your crib since you decided you were a big girl and didn't need your bassinet anymore. We kept finding you every morning squished up against the top of it because you pushed yourself up there!
As far as your temperment goes your a very good baby but seemed to be very strong willed. Watch out if you get angry cuz you kick and swing your head back and forth! You' ve been smiling since about 5 weeks and not just gas smiles. You also started grabbing at things and sticking your hands in your mouth all of the time around 6 weeks.
I can't forget to talk about your favorite toys. By far your favorite toy is Mr. Duck. You smile and coo at him. Also we would be lost without your whinnie the pooh bouncer. It has a mobile that has pooh, tigger, and eyore hanging from it. You will sit in it and kick away for a good hour some time. As far as your lamb swing goes you are just starting to tolerate it, but only because it has a mirror at the top which you are fascinated with looking in. You seem to LOVE music! I often pull up my itunes on the computer and put on the visual effects. You love to watch the colors bounce around with the music. We swear that you seem to love hip hop music more than anything! ha ha
You don't seem to notice Brooke yet, but she sure knows your here! She loves you and has been protective of you from day one. Every morning she looks for you. Sniffing at your bassinet or crib. She loves to give you kisses and tries to go for your face. At night when we wake up for a feeding brook will not lay back down with daddy and insist on laying in the threshold of your door to guard your room from the cat or who knows what else. She often sleeps the whole night in the hallway in front of your door.
Soon you will have your 2 month check up and I will be sure to write down all of your stats and measurments. We are sure that you are growing just fine. We don't have any concerns about your health or growth at this time. We feel so blessed to have such a perfect little baby! :)

Baby's first cold :(
So Addy had her first experience with the sniffles this week. Thank god she seems to be over it already! She was pretty congested and sounded like a pug sleeping. After a humidifier, nose drops, and some baby chest rub she was much better. The other bad part was that mommy was a little sick too this week. I quickly learned how hard it is to take care of a baby when your feeling under the weather. Thank god chris was so helpful!
We also celebrated easter this weekend with family in WI and we had a great time. This was Addy's first extended car ride and she did great. She slept the whole 2 1/2 hr drive so we can't complain. We were so glad to finally be able to introduce Addy to the rest of Chris's family. I did notice when we got home that we really didn't take any pictures so I don't have any to share from easter. :(
Coming up soon we have Addy's 2 month checkup, my return to work, and Addy starting daycare. I am not looking forward to any of these things. Addy will be getting vaccinations at this visit which will be sure to cause tears. The though of leaving her at daycare with strangers is really upseting to us, but we know we will adjust to it with time.
