November already!

I can't believe it's November! I wish we had a computer right now because I am really missing blogging and adding pictures of Addy more frequently. I love going back and reading all of my old blogs about her.

This past weekend was daylight savings time and it was a rough one for us. We have been struggling for some time to try and get her to stay up later and sleep in longer. Well lets just say that this weekend did not help the situation. We are also fighting a little cold and maybe some teething again. I feel like her colds are never ending. As soon as she gets over one we start all over again the next week. I guess we have daycare to thank for that. Everyone keeps saying that it will be better for us when she starts kindergarten and I hope this is true.

Addy still has yet to crawl. We are getting closer and closer every day and lately she has been scooting backwards, but can't seem to catch on to the forward motion. Also she is wanting to stand with my help all of the time. She loves bath time and still continues to try to drink her bath water!! She is wearing 18 months clothes and still growing fast! We have our 9 month appt soon so I will know her weight then, but I'm guessing she about 22 lbs. She's eating her biscuits now and chunks of bananas. She also likes mashed potatos.

We had a great first holloween and Addy was a lady bug I will try hard to get a picture on here of her costume. We are really looking forward to her first thanksgiving and of course christmas will be so fun with her this year.

Whats New?

So I have been a really bad blogger, but I have a good excuse! About a month or so ago I stepped on my computer screen and her a loud crack! :( Of course my screen was shattered so no more computer at home except for chris's work computer that he brings home on ocassion. So I will not be posting any new pics for a while.

There have been many changes since I've posted last. So to anyone who has not heard yet we are expecting again. We wanted to wait until our first ultrasound to tell most people, but because of having to inform work etc.. we didn't feel it was fair for coworkers to know and not our friends, family etc. I am about 10 weeks and feeling pretty good. Just a smidge of morning sickness and an odd craving for red meat and spicy food!! The spicy food was expected but not the red meat part. Last time I couldn't stand the smell of it.

So the baby and Addy will be only 16 months apart! Everytime we tell someone we are expecting again they all laugh and say, your going to be really busy! I think that is an understatment.

Addy has had lots of changes over that last couple months and is growing and changing by the day. She is not crawling yet and shows no interest in it at all. She loves to stand with our help and has been sitting great on her own for quite some time. She loves her cat and dog. She says da da, abba, ahhhhh and yells A LOT! She's a great eater and loves her yogurt and cereal puffs. Weve been working on a sippy cup, but she isn't taking to it very good. She loves bath time but hates bed time. She still fights sleep at bedtime and naps. She still wakes up at times throughout the night. Most days she is up between 5:00 and 6:30, but on ocassion she thinks it's time to get up at around 3:00! She is a funny baby and thinks she is very funny too! We are also very happy that she seems to love books. Her favorite toys right now are her 5 little pumpkins book, the jumper, drum, and her baby einstein video.

Well thats all for now. I will try to post any pics that I can as soon as possible. This week we have our ultrasound and drs appt. so we will post info as soon as we have it.

Almost 6 months!

Miss Addy is almost 6 months old already!! I will be sure to update addy's stats as soon as she has her 6 month drs appointment. She has one tooth and another tooth that I can feel next to it, but it hasn't poped through the skin yet. So far she has been very very fussy while teething and it makes for rough nights for the whole house! :( She is also very close to sitting up on her own. So far she only last for about 2-5 seconds before tipping over, but she is getting stronger every day! One of her new favorite games is standing on her legs while I help her bounce up and down. She also LOVES bath time and splashing all of the water out of her little tub. Her little chubby legs kick so fast that she soaks some of the floor and mommy. It's funny to watch and I have to try to catch it on video soon.

So far she likes to yell and hear her own voice. She has developed the bad habit of wanting to be carried around the house all day. I blame this one on daddy! We are working on breaking this habit and hopefuly once she starts sitting up and crawling it will help. She is very interested in her pet family members. She tries to pet brooke and brooke gently gives her kisses on her hands, it's sooo sweet.

We've also started feeding her cereal. It's taken her a while to figure out swallowing a semi-solid substance. For a while she would just cough and choke on it, so we held off for several weeks. Now she swallows it right down but getting it to her mouth without her grabbing the spoon or hitting the bowl out of my hand has been a challenge. She is a very active baby and is always moving moving moving!

We have our wedding coming up very soon and I'm a little nervous how she will do on the trip. Almost everything is ready to go and taken care of and I am so happy we picked a vegas wedding. I am just hoping that the temp is at least below 100 while we are there!

I will be posting some new pics soon!

Big Girl

I've been a bad blogger! It's been well over a month since I've posted, but my computer takes forever to post pics etc... I think it's time for a new computer.

First off Addy had her 4 month checkup. She was 17lbs and 26 inches long. So that puts her in the 75th percentile for height and 99th percentile for weight! Her head circum. is still falling right about in the middle. The doctor was happy with her progress and said everything looked perfect. There was minimal screaming after her shots which I was very grateful for.

I think I should update on her new milestones. She started rolling from back to stomach right before 4 months. She was sleeping through the night, but we've regressed on that since the rolling. We are back to getting up a couple of times a night and sometimes one feeding. Her 1st tooth has errupted and she's been very cranky with the teething! :( Other than that she loves her baths but so far screams with swimming. She is so so with car rides and has just started to notice her kitty and dog. Her favorite toys are Mr. Duck, Mr. Bear, her colorful dolly, and anything that plays music. She no longer like to play on her back and instantly rolls over when placed on the floor. It looks like she is trying to swim or fly like superman because arms do staight back and she kicks and kicks. Oh also I don't want to forget her favorite game, the hokey pokey song. She loves any game where you go boo or slightly startle her. She looks surprised for a second and then giggles.

As far as her temperment goes I would have to say that she is a happy baby that is very strong willed. She is very happy in the mornings and smiles and laughs. She can be cranky at times, and when she gets angry watch out!! ha ha

We are planning and looking forward to our vegas wedding! Addy will be sooo cute in her little dress! Here are pics from the last 2 months.

Busy month!

I haven't posted anything in a while so I will try to catch everyone up on the latest happenings. Wow what a month we've had. First Addy recently had her 2 month doctors appointment. It went really well, with the exception of those nasty shots! :( Anyway Addy was around 14 pounds and 24 inches long. The doctor said that put her around the 95-97 percentile for her height and weight. He said everything looked great. We were so happy to hear that our little was was healthy and moving along perfectly. When she got her immunizations her face turned beet red and there was screaming for a second, but then she was okay. She did have a 40 min screaming session that night before bed so we did end up giving her some Tylenol. She was fine after that.

About 2 weeks ago Chris was complaining of a stomachache and to make a long story short it ended up being his appendix. So after an appendectomy and about a week and 1/2 of some much needed rest he seems to be all healed. Thank god he's a quick healer because we would be lost without all of daddy's help!

Addy has been changing daily and she is growing like a weed. She is already starting to grow out of her 3 month clothes and fiting into most of her 6 month clothes! We just love all of her little rolls and those chubby little baby thighs. It's too cute. She is sleeping through the night and seems to be very happy and giggly in the morning. She has also learned the art of yelling. She often yells at her toys when she gets excited. I guess she just realized she has a voice, and she's determined to use it! ha ha

Last Sunday I celebrated my first mothers day and it was wonderful! It was a day of pampering starting with yummy french toast made just for me. :) So far motherhood is as wonderfull as I thought it would be and more.

Here are some recent pics of Addy. We are looking forward to a trip to Michigan soon to visit my family and in June my brother and his wife are coming to visit from Texas. I'm so excited for Addy to meet her great grandma, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Fran!

7 weeks

So I just wanted to get in writing some things about miss addy since she is almost 2 months and I haven't really been documenting it. Addy you are around 10 or 11 pounds, well accourding to our cheap nondigital scale. I swear you have been lifting your head since day 1! However now you hold it up for a substantial amount of time. You tolerate sitting in your bumbo chair for about 5 min at a time with a little head support help. You eat great and rarely spit up. You are taking around 4-5 oz about every 2-3 hrs. You get up about twice a night and let us get around 2-4hrs of sleep at a time! :)

You are now sleeping in your crib since you decided you were a big girl and didn't need your bassinet anymore. We kept finding you every morning squished up against the top of it because you pushed yourself up there!

As far as your temperment goes your a very good baby but seemed to be very strong willed. Watch out if you get angry cuz you kick and swing your head back and forth! You' ve been smiling since about 5 weeks and not just gas smiles. You also started grabbing at things and sticking your hands in your mouth all of the time around 6 weeks.

I can't forget to talk about your favorite toys. By far your favorite toy is Mr. Duck. You smile and coo at him. Also we would be lost without your whinnie the pooh bouncer. It has a mobile that has pooh, tigger, and eyore hanging from it. You will sit in it and kick away for a good hour some time. As far as your lamb swing goes you are just starting to tolerate it, but only because it has a mirror at the top which you are fascinated with looking in. You seem to LOVE music! I often pull up my itunes on the computer and put on the visual effects. You love to watch the colors bounce around with the music. We swear that you seem to love hip hop music more than anything! ha ha

You don't seem to notice Brooke yet, but she sure knows your here! She loves you and has been protective of you from day one. Every morning she looks for you. Sniffing at your bassinet or crib. She loves to give you kisses and tries to go for your face. At night when we wake up for a feeding brook will not lay back down with daddy and insist on laying in the threshold of your door to guard your room from the cat or who knows what else. She often sleeps the whole night in the hallway in front of your door.

Soon you will have your 2 month check up and I will be sure to write down all of your stats and measurments. We are sure that you are growing just fine. We don't have any concerns about your health or growth at this time. We feel so blessed to have such a perfect little baby! :)

Baby's first cold :(

So Addy had her first experience with the sniffles this week. Thank god she seems to be over it already! She was pretty congested and sounded like a pug sleeping. After a humidifier, nose drops, and some baby chest rub she was much better. The other bad part was that mommy was a little sick too this week. I quickly learned how hard it is to take care of a baby when your feeling under the weather. Thank god chris was so helpful!

We also celebrated easter this weekend with family in WI and we had a great time. This was Addy's first extended car ride and she did great. She slept the whole 2 1/2 hr drive so we can't complain. We were so glad to finally be able to introduce Addy to the rest of Chris's family. I did notice when we got home that we really didn't take any pictures so I don't have any to share from easter. :(

Coming up soon we have Addy's 2 month checkup, my return to work, and Addy starting daycare. I am not looking forward to any of these things. Addy will be getting vaccinations at this visit which will be sure to cause tears. The though of leaving her at daycare with strangers is really upseting to us, but we know we will adjust to it with time.

Addy's first photo session

Here are the pics from addys first photo session. She was such a good baby throughout the whole thing. We thought for sure she would have a melt down and get fussy with all of the wardrobe changing. She just stared at everything and started to fall asleep! I think mommy and daddy were more wiped out by the end of it than she was.

Addy is still getting up twice throughout the night and having more awake time during the day. The only bad part about her getting up at night is that she doesn't want to go back to sleep. We have had several nights this week were she decided it was time to have a 2 hour play session at 3:30 in the morning. I don't mind it so much, but it will be a different story when I go back to work on midnights and chris will have to try to get her back to sleep. Other than the fact that she is growing bigger by the day, not much else new with her. We will be having her 2 month appt coming up soon and we are a little hesitant about it because thats vaccination time.

This weekend we are going back to WI to visit with family. We are excited to take lots of pics so watch for them soon. Here are all of her pics from her photo session.

Addys first trip to the mall!

Thats right Addy had her first trip to the mall of america and I think she liked it! We were a little hesitant thinking that she might have a mealtdown, but she did great. Her grandma and grandpa were there to visit with her too!

We got some shopping in and Addy was even good enough for us to have our first meal out post baby. She did have a miny mealtdown after a diaper change, but she quickly recovered.

I can't believe that I only have a few weeks left of maternity leave before I have to go back to work! Part of me is looking forward to get back into the swing of things, but part of me feels very sad and guilty for leaving Addy for any amount of time. Honestly I think Chris may have a harder time with her being at day care than me! We took her there for a visit this week and chris was very uneasy about it. Someone is going to be a very protective daddy! :)

We are looking forward to getting pictures taken soon. So keep your eyes peeled for those. We are also excited to go back to WI soon to visit with family over easter.

Almost 1 month old!

It's hard to believe that Addy will be a month old on Sunday! We are doing great and getting to know our little girl more and more each day. We are improving on staying asleep at night. So far she just has one period throughout the night that she wants to be up for 2 hours. I guess she just gets so rested up and then she decides it's time to play! Either way she is sleeping for up to 2-4 hrs at a time and we are happy to get that.

Since it has been so nice out this week we've gone on several walks. Addy just sleeps through these. I am looking forward to getting a baby jogger and start running soon! If anyone has any suggestions on baby joggers please let me know. I plan on doing some serious running to get back into shape so I'm looking for a really sturdy one. So far I'm leaning toward the the BOB ironman jogger. :)

I'm posting some random pics that weve taken over the past week. Addy is starting to be more alert so we are finally getting some more pics with her eyes open. Which by the way are still a blue grey color and we are eager to know what color they will turn! She is also getting really good at holding her head up. I think she will be able to sit in her bumbo without us holding up her head in no time!

new pictures

I just wanted to post the latest pics we've taken!
